A couple of years ago, I asked my brother, who, in partnership with his sure'nuff hardworking wife, IS JESE Construction back in SouthEast Pennsylvania, to recommend to me some of the tools he uses and what I should buy.  The following is his list so far anyway:

10.- for a sawsall, Porter Cable Tiger Saw

9.- For a circular saw, I own a Craftsman 2 1/2 horse, it was a great buy and does a heck of a job. Although the Dewalt is probably a hair better, but MUCH more pricey for what you use it for.

8.- For a router….Again, Porter Cable, however, make sure that you get the one that is at least 3hp and if nothing else, make sure you get one that has a 1/2 collet, more versatile.

7.- For a radial arm saw, my pick is the Delta, now there are several makes by Delta, you just have to pick one out according  to what you want to use it for.

6.- For a mitre chop saw, this is a must for any work being done, The Dewalt 10 inch compound with stops and extension arms, electric brake, and
dust collection unit, this one gets a ***** star in my book.

5.- For a belt sander, the Porter Cable 3 inch variable speed belt sander with dust collection, the 4 inch is nicer, but only has one speed, not a good
thing!!!  some types of woods require slower speeds.

4.- For an orbital sander, believe it or not, I have a Black&Decker, and it has never failed me…yet, however, just about any orbital sander will do.

3.- For a table saw, that is durable, small, lightweight and powerful, I just bought a Dewalt 10 inch contractor series, the frame is a durable lightweight plastic, but the table is coated cast, solid and won't  rust or warp, another ***** star.

2.- For a cordless drill, I must say, I  have tried them all, and I prefer the Porter Cable over the Dewalt in the 14 volt range, it has more torque and last 10 time longer on a single charge, I go with the 14 volt over 18 volt due to the weight difference, for my line of work, lugging around that brick of a drill, really wears out your arm quick.  Now this is not something you can expect to last a long time, I've owned Makita’s, Dewalt’s, Porter Cable’s, and Milwaukee’s,  and they all break VERY easily, I don't know why nobody can get there act together on this one but hey, ya gotta have ‘em!!

………….And the number one reason you should buy all these wonderful top picks,,,,cuz that’s what I have and he who has the most toys….. dies in debt.  No just kidding, I have tried so many different brands of so many different types of tools and there are a few recommendations of names to stay away from,  First and foremost….RYOBI…except for that handy little tiny multi-head sander they have for getting into those hard to reach
places…..MAKITA…..DO NOT BUY….they suck!!
